Walk the Moon presenta su canción: «Different Colors»

Para quienes no los conocen, Walk the Moon es una banda de indie rock, proveniente de Cincinnati, Ohio.

El cantante Nicholas Petricca arrancó esta banda en el año 2008 y pasó por varios cambios de integrantes hasta que finalmente logró dar con la formación actual que conocemos, entre ellos, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, y Eli Maiman, los cuales llegaron en el año 2010.

El nombre la banda hace alusión a la canción «Walking on the Moon» de The Police. Así, el grupo lanzó de manera independiente su primer álbum, ‘I Want! I Want!’.

En noviembre de 2010, distintas emisoras a nivel mundial, rotaron la canción «Anna Sun«.

Para febrero de 2011 la banda firmó un contrato con Mick Management y con RCA Records para lanzar su disco homónimo en junio de 2012. De hecho, en este disco están incluidas varias canciones originales de ‘I Want! I Want!’, así como nuevas canciones que fueron escritas específicamente para el álbum.

En diciembre de 2014, la banda lanzó su tercer disco de estudio ‘Talking Is Hard’. Esta producción discográfica incluye la canción de mayor éxito de la banda, «Shut Up and Dance«, que hasta el momento ha alcanzado la posición número 4 en el conteo estadounidense «Billboard Hot 100» y se ubicó en la posición número 1 en las listas «Rock Songs» y «Alternative Songs» de Billboard.
