Goo Goo Dolls estrena canción: Rebel beat

El guitarrista John Rzeznik, el bajista Robby Takac y el baterista Mike Malinin grabaron este disco en ciudades como Nueva York, Londres y Los Ángeles junto a Gregg Wattenberg (Train), Rob Cavallo (Green Day), John Shanks (Bon Jovi) y Greg Wells (Katy Perry).

"Estoy muy orgulloso de nuestro nuevo disco. He pasado un gran momento y aprendido muchísimo de esta experiencia junto al talentoso equipo que trabajó en este material", apuntó Rzeznik mediante un comunicado.

"Magnetic" es el disco número 10 de estudio de la banda originaria de Buffalo, Nueva York, por lo que el guitarrista consideró que la placa está llena de energía en cada una de las canciones.

"Creo que existe un aura llena de energía en cada una de las canciones", el grabar y producir este disco cambió la forma en la que concebía este proceso y la convirtió en algo mucho más ligero y divertido".

El primer sencillo que se desprende de este disco se titula "Rebel beat" y ha comenzado a sonar esta semana en las diferentes estaciones radiofónicas a nivel mundial.

De acuerdo con el comunicado, Goo Goo Dolls ha vendido más de 10 millones de copias en todo el mundo y ha colocado 14 sencillos dentro del Top 10 de radio en Estados Unidos, más que cualquier otro artista en la historia de los Hot AC Charts.

Por otra parte, los Goo Goo Dolls fueron invitadados por el presidente de Estados Unidos, Barack Obama, a participar en el baile The Creative Coalition’s Inaugural Ball, en la ciudad de Washington.
