Of Monsters and Men presenta su canción: Empire

Para quienes no los conocen, ‘Of Monsters and Men’ es un banda de indie Rock formada en 2010.

Actualmente, la agrupación está integrada por Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, cantante principal y guitarrista; Ragnar «Raggi» Þórhallsson, cantante y guitarrista; Brynjar Leifsson, guitarrista: Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, baterista y Kristján Páll Kristjánsson, bajista.

La banda empezó su trayectoria al ganar el “Músiktilraunir”, un concurso anual de bandas musicales de Islandia. Gracias a esto, Of Monsters and Men lanzó su primer EP, ‘Into the Woods’.

Su primer disco, ‘My Head Is an Animal’, tuvo un gran éxito a nivel mundial; alcanzó el sexto puesto en Estados Unidos, el tres en Reino Unido o el número uno en Australia. En Radioacktiva recordamos el primer sencillo del este álbum debut llamado “Little Talks”, canción que logró entrar dentro de las primeras veinte posiciones en más de quince países.

El 3 de noviembre de 2014 la agrupación arrancó a grabar su segundo disco junto con el productor de sonido Richard Costey en un estudio cercano a Reykjavík. El primer sencillo de esta producción Beneath the skin: Crystals, fue lanzado el 16 de marzo, seguido de I of the Storm, publicado el 28 de abril y luego Empire.

El resto del disco se publicó el 9 de Junio de 2015, del cual escucharemos su canción, Empire.
